Virtual Hands-on Agile Workshop: Building Products as a Member of an Agile Team (no pre-requisite, 2 half-days over a weekend, on Zoom)

As a Project Manager, Business Analyst, or Team Member, do you want to learn more about Agile, but don’t yet have much hands-on experience?

We invite you to join us for a packed full-on Virtual Workshop where you will gain hands-on experience building a product as a member of an Agile Team, as well as leading and participating in Agile ceremonies.

This is a standalone workshop for practitioners at all levels. 

If you do not have formal Agile training, do not worry, we will cover the relevant basics. If you do have formal Agile training, this workshop will help you put into practice what you learnt and know already.

We invite all of the following participants to attend this workshop and experience the learning by practicing Agile:

• Project Managers and Team Members interested in Agile but with little hands-on experience;
• Anyone interested in Agile ways of working and would like hands-on experience;
• Agile Practitioners who would like to participate in a collaborative workshop and share their knowledge and experience.

Learning Outcomes 

After attending this workshop, you will be able to:

1. Explain the Agile lifecycle and ceremonies;
2. Explain User Stories and how they can be used to define a product;
3. Explain how to set up an Agile board and how it can be maintained in Jira;
4. Create a simple digital product using Mockflow over multiple sprints.

Presentation and Discussion Method: 

• This virtual workshop will be hands-on, working in teams in breakout rooms;
• Zoom, Miro Board and Mockflow will be used;
  
  
• We will go into Zoom breakout rooms, so please ensure that you have INSTALLED Zoom on your computer and login via the app, not through web browser. You can download the Zoom application here: https://zoom.us/download
• This session will also use Miro board, which you are recommended to access with Google Chrome browser;
• This session will also use Mockflow for building the product, so please ensure that you have registered for a Basic account here;
• Participating from a mobile device is not recommended because you might need to use a keyboard;

About the Instructors:

Andrew Coates Enterprise Agile Coach Why Innovation! (LinkedIn)	Andrew Coates has extensive traditional and Agile delivery experience, a total of over 21 years in the industry. He has been successful in delivery roles in Banking, Insurance, Telecommunications and the Entertainment sectors, spanning Canada, Hong Kong and Singapore. This breath of experience enables him to understand and build strong rapport with stakeholders moving from traditional to Agile ways of working. Certified on major frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban, as well as scaling frameworks such as SAFe and Disciplined Agile, Andrew is able to combine methodologies, tools and techniques to design a target operating model best suited for the organizational needs.
Ravi Agarwal Agile Project Leadership OCBC Bank (LinkedIn)	Ravi Agarwal has over 20 years' experience in the IT industry. As a passionate software developer writing code since he was a child, he believes that hands-on experimentation is a critical tool for any authentic leader. With a keen interest for Agile practices developed over many years, he takes delight in sharing this passion with others. He is currently engaged in a multi-year Agile transformation program to upgrade core customer facing banking platforms. All the while ensuring the transformation of the person, not the technology, is recognised as the primary source of value.
Sharon Oh Scrum Master, Project Office OCBC Bank (LinkedIn)	Sharon Oh is a dedicated and energetic IT Professional with over 18 years of experience in software development and project delivery, in both vendor and user environments, and across local and global delivery. Her project experience covers multiple business domains including government, transportation, banking, container shipping and container terminal operations business. Sharon is a strong believer in continuous learning. She is PMI-PMP Certified, Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (A-CSM®), COMIT, Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) and Certified SAFe® 5 Agilist. Recently, she has been passionate on a journey of Agile adoption and Agile transformation, and believes that with the right mindset, Agile is the key success in today’s customer centric world.
Kevin Chua Project Manager (LinkedIn)	Kevin Chua has over 5 years of project management experience across various industries including telecommunications, material testing and air-conditioning. His decision to focus on project management came in 2017 and since then, embarked on a learning journey over the last 4 years. Kevin is now a Project Manager as well as a Disciplined Agile Champion with PMI Singapore Chapter and currently co-leads the Professional Development Portfolio as well.
In Chong (Jeff) Lim Assistant Manager Operational Excellence (LinkedIn)	Jeff Lim has over 8 years of project management experience in the realm of telecommunications. His journey towards project management came in an unexpected way in 2011 and he has been on a lifelong learning journey ever since. Jeff is now an Assistant Manager working on Operational Excellence in a local SME and currently leads the Disciplined Agile SIG Portfolio with PMI Singapore Chapter. He is also the co-lead for the Professional Development Portfolio and works together as a close-knit team with Kevin.
