Overview
PMI Singapore Chapter officially launched AI x PM Special Interest Group (SIG) by chapter President on 17th July 2025, 1 day after PMI 2025 Global AI Community Day.
This newly set up AI x PM Special Interest Group (SIG) will be embedded into every program that chapter is running for the members and in every engagement that chapter is conducting with the members. In other words, AI x PM would be the new DNA of the PMI Singapore chapter.
In the meanwhile, currently available PMI AI related certification - Cognitive Project Management in AI (CPMAI)™, PM’s AI tool for members - PMI Infinity™, and online free PMI eLearning resource (link: https://www.pmi.org/learning/ai-in-project-management) of AI have been briefed during the launch
With the witness of close to 100 PMI Singapore members and partners, this AI x PM SIG (Special Interest Group) has been successfully launched and then kicked off the 1st Professional Development (PD) webinar in the term of 2025-2026 after that, namely “AI-Powered PM: From Trends to Read Word Automation”, which is also one perfect example of how AI x PM SIG has been embedded into the chapter program.
Within 1 week of AI x PM SIG (Special Interest Group) launch, PMI Singapore chapter Executive Committee team has been warmly welcomed by AI Singapore, which is Singapore’s national programme supported by the National Research Foundation and hosted by the National University of Singapore (NUS). They are supporting Singapore’s vision to be a leader in developing scalable, impactful AI solutions strategic to the nation. There was meaningful discussion on how PMI Singapore Chapter could contribute to the ecosystem that AI Singapore is driving and also the collaboration opportunities between two sides through AI x PM best practice sharing, project award nomination, branding amplification, and more.
