I can be addressed as “Suria”, name meaning, the Sun. Having graduated in Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.,) from Madras Institute of Technology under Anna University and in Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.,) from Anna University, India, I have more than 28 years of experience covering Project Management, Service Management & Operations Management. I am currently working as Director Project Management, in Emerson Process Management Singapore, with Operations & Project management responsibilities covering South East Asia. Before that, I worked in companies such as Yokogawa Engineering Asia in Singapore and Engineers India Limited in India. Have experience of implementing projects & programs in industries such as Oil and Gas, Chemicals, Marine, Mining, Pharmaceutical, Power, Water treatment, Pulp & Paper etc., Have certifications in Quality management ISO9001:2008 and Business Continuity Management (BCM). I have been a toastmaster with Competent Communicator and Competent Leader credentials. Having a passion for Public speaking, conducting Seminars and Training, I focus on sharing knowledge on Leadership, Project Management, Public speaking etc., Driven by my passion to give back to the society, I am privileged to be part of SPMI and look forward to do my best for the Project Management community.
