Presentation 1 by Jeremie Averous, Project Value Delivery (Singapore / France)

Project control as the strategy directorate of the project

Project control is the only part of a large project organisation that is not deep into daily project operations. It must rise above simply reporting status and forecast to become the strategic advisor of the project director. It must take the longer view to anticipate project phase transitions and identify longer term stumbling blocks.

In this presentation, based on his 15years+ working and consulting around project controls in megaprojects both from owner and contractor sides, Jeremie Averous will share what should be expected from project control, the 3 levels of project strategy maturity, and share a case study of successful strategic project control on a mega-project from the contractor perspective.

Presentation 2 by Michael Pink, SmartPM Technologies (USA)

The Value of Schedule Data for controlling project outcomes

CPM schedules contain vast amounts of valuable data, essential for managing and controlling project outcomes. Recent advancements in technology enable companies to analyse schedule data at scale, revealing effective project controls and actionable insights into risks, delays, and performance optimization. This presentation will demonstrate how leveraging schedule data can enhance risk management, improve predictability, and optimize resources, empowering organizations to achieve consistent, data-driven success.

Presentation 3 by Dev Amratia from nPlan (United Kingdom)

Using AI trained on 750k projects to forecast and de-risk project delivery

This section will explore how algorithms, powered by machine learning, are capable of learning from previous projects to accurately forecast the outcome of current projects.

In a “behind the scenes” tour, our experts will unpack how these algorithms work and share case studies of how&where value is created for clients and contractors around the world.

Presentation 4 by Amir Vaziri from Turner & Townsend (Singapore)

Corporate controls framework - a road map to implementation

This presentation aims to showcase the comprehensive transformation journey of a global corporation, highlighting the integration of robust project controls and the pivotal role of delivery performance diagnostics, systems design, and cultural change in achieving project controls excellence.

The objective is to illustrate how a strategic roadmap and the adoption of project controls can drive efficiency and success across regions, projects, programs, and portfolios, while emphasizing the importance of fostering a culture that embraces change.
