Webinar: You Had Me at Agile - An Open Space Event for Agile20Reflect Festival

About Open Space:

Open Space is a participant-driven event to address a specific question or theme. This event will focus on the 20th anniversary of the Agile Manifesto, which was crafted in 2001.

Open Space allows you to participate in sessions with others whom you may not normally have a chance to talk with. Like agile, Open Space sessions operate under a small set of guiding principles:

  • Whoever comes are the right people;
  • Whatever happens is the only thing that could have;
  • Whenever it starts is the right time;
  • Whenever it’s over, it’s over;
  • Wherever it happens is the right place.

Additionally, there is one law - The Law of Personal Mobility: If you find yourself where you can’t learn or contribute, move yourself to a place where you can.

About Agile20Reflect Festival:

PMI Singapore Chapter logoThis Open Space event is part of the community-driven Agile20Festival, which celebrates the 20th anniversary of the Agile manifesto. For more information or to explore its other events: https://agile20reflect.org

"You Had Me at Agile" will focus on:

  • Past of Agile;
  • Present state of Agile;
  • Possible Future of Agile.

The event will kickoff in the (virtual) main room with a presentation on recent agile transformations. Afterwards you can select a breakout room, each with its own focus:

  • Room A - New to Agile;
  • Room B - Agile Veterans;
  • Room C - Transitioning from Waterfall.

In the final session, everyone will return to the main room to share their findings, followed by an update on PMI’s Disciplined Agile, featuring student testimonials from a recent DA class organised by PMI Singapore Chapter.

As part of Agile20Festival, the event will be recorded and those recordings become part of a lasting research data set like Agile Ted Talks. In the future, people can use the Agile20Festival events to self learn and create their own learning paths.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Learn do’s and don’ts to make an Agile transformation program successful;
  • Celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Agile Manifesto and the Agile20Festival;
  • Learn from practitioners about the advantages of Disciplined Agile certification;
  • Meet fellow Agilists who are interested in an Agile Community of Practice in Singapore;
  • Learn about Open Space and how an Agile Open Space event works.

Presentation and Discussion Method:

  • Zoom and Miro board will be used
  • This event will use Zoom breakout rooms, so please ensure that you have INSTALLED Zoom in your computer and login via the app, not through web browser. You can download the Zoom application here: https://zoom.us/download
  • This session will also use Miro board, which you are recommended to access with the Chrome browser
  • Participating from a mobile device is not recommended because you might need to use a keyboard
  • Make sure to have a stable internet connection
