Managing Projects for Machine Learning, AI & New Tech Stack

 

Tech sector saw a sudden evolution from 2016 onwards since the Big Data hype settled down and after the initial move from Data Warehouses to Big Data on Hadoop & similar infrastructures was done. From the initial projects of utilizing Spark and placing data insights centric approaches in place to exploration of open source analytics & data tools and ultimately playing with Machine learning models, the evolution of tech happened in a small time of 2-3 years.

In project management perspective a lot moved from concrete, planned and timely delivery to technological explorations and POCs to give the next generation solutions to the users. Agile adoption in parallel also matured and evolved. This leaves a traditional project manager scratching his head for what to track and what really are the risks of the projects.

Shailendra | IT Platform Delivery Lead (Audit Platform) | DBS

Shailendra has 15+ years of experience in the IT sector in Telecom, Financial Services & Fintech domain. Shailendra holds the distinction of delivering complex projects in geographical and culturally diverse teams and is constantly working to improve the way we perceive the risk of the projects and why majority of the projects don’t even know the risks that ultimately derail them.

Shailendra is currently working with DBS as a IT Platform Delivery Lead for the Audit Platform. Before joining DBS, he has worked as a tech consultant with many banks and Telecom service providers in various countries in Asia. Shailendra has worked on projects that are of POC, Machine Learning and regulatory reporting nature and has experience in working with complex and culturally diverse teams.
