PMP vs. Prince2: A David or Goliath?

On 7th September 2011, the above Professional Development (PD) event was successfully conducted at SingPost Center auditorium with close to 80 participants attending the PD event. The speaker for the evening was Mr. Charles Lim, founder and a director of a consultancy and training company.

PMP and PRINCE2 are currently the two global bedrock project management certifications sought after by both individuals and organizations. Both are strongly rooted in the respective organizations, industries and communities they serve; yet rarely co-exist in an integrative form.

During the 2-hour talk, Mr. Charles Lim shared with the participants about the differences between PMBOK and Prince2, including the merits and the limitations of the two project management standards, from an industrial practitioner perspective. After the talk, Mr. Charles Lim was kind enough to hold a lucky draw for the audience. Five lucky participants walked home with some attractive prizes compliment from Mr. Charles Lim. Overall, it has been a most fruitful evening for all attendees.
