Virtual Hands-on Agile Workshop: Building Products as a Member of an Agile Team (no pre-requisite, one full day on Zoom, with breaks)

As a Project Manager, Business Analyst or Team Member, do you want to learn more about Agile, but don’t yet have much hands-on experience?

We invite you to join us for this sought-after workshop, where you will gain hands-on experience building a product as a member of an Agile team, as well as leading and participating in Agile ceremonies.

If you do not have formal Agile training, do not worry, we will cover the basics. If you do have formal Agile training, these workshops will help you put into practice what you have learned!

We invite all of the following participants to attend this workshop and experience the learning by practicing Agile:

  • Project Managers and Team Members interested in Agile but with little hands-on experience

  • Anyone interested in Agile ways of working and would like hands-on experience

  • Agile Practitioners who would like to participate in a collaborative workshop and share their knowledge and experience

Learning Outcomes 

After attending this workshop, you will be able to:

  1. Explain the Agile lifecycle and ceremonies
  2. Explain User Stories and how they can be used to define a product
  3. Explain how to set up an Agile board and how it can be maintained in Jira
  4. Create a simple digital product using Miro over multiple sprints

Presentation and Discussion Method: 

  • This virtual workshop will be hands-on, working in teams in breakout rooms;
  • We will go into Zoom breakout rooms, so please ensure that you have INSTALLED Zoom on your computer and login via the app, not through web browser. You can download the Zoom application here:
  • This session will also use Miro board, which you are recommended to access with Google Chrome browser;
  • Participating from a mobile device is not recommended because you might need to use a keyboard;
  • Make sure you have a stable internet connection.


About the Presenters:

 Andrew Coates

Andrew Coates has extensive traditional and Agile delivery experience, a total of over 22 years in the industry. He has delivered hands-on roles in the Supply Chain, Banking, Insurance, Telecommunications and the Entertainment sectors, spanning Canada, Hong Kong and Singapore. 

Certified on major frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban, as well as scaling frameworks such as SAFe and Disciplined Agile, Andrew is able to combine methodologies, tools and techniques to design a target operating model best suited for the organizational needs.

Daowen Chang

Agile & Innovation Coach


Daowen Chang is an experienced Innovation Consultant, Agile Coach, Facilitator and Trainer with over 18 years practical experience in multiple industries. She helps organizations build vision, strategies, develop Agile Innovation culture and support the digital transformation journey.

Daowen is also an Experience Strategy and Service Innovation guest lecturer at the Institute for China Business of Hong Kong University.

 Ravi Agarwal

Enterprise Coach & Facilitator

Ravi Agarwal is a coach, mentor and facilitator of enterprise organisational development. He contributes to the agile software space as well as to diversity, inclusions and other related leadership transformations. He has led engineering teams in fianancial services. He still expresses a lifelong passion for technology but believes each of us as individuals and sour shared humanity are the most important sources of positive change.

Chow Lye Fong has over 20 years' experience in the IT industry handling project delivery and management on both traditional and Agile methodologies. She prides herself in her experience playing different roles throughout the delivery chain including being a Developer, Architect, Business Analyst, Project Manager, Scrum Master and Agile Coach.

The experience she has gained allows her to easily comprehend the different priorities and coach teams towards a common goal and drive forward.

Kevin Chua

Project Manager

Kevin Chua has over 6 years of project management experience across various industries including telecommunications, material testing, air-conditioning and currently IT.

A believer of lifelong learning, he has cultivated a mindset of continuous self-improvement which he applies to himself as well as the teams he manages. Using a hybrid of various tools, techniques, events from various frameworks, he balances the management of operational support, application development and most importantly, people management.

Lydia Choi is a rare find in the market as a Senior Consultant who combines the roles of Agile Coach and Project Manager with qualifications as a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Information System Auditor.

Lydia brings expertise to assess and coach teams, including business and auditing departments, in adopting new ways of working. Her experience includes collaborating with international banks to design process flows, facilitate team changes and support transformation journeys.

Jonathan Yap is a Project Director with Govtech, where he leads the Gebiz X programme for Ministry of Finance to enable the transformation of procurement practice for the WOG (Whole of Government). Having led international projects over a career of more than 20+ years, he is a firm believer in Digitalization, IT Transformation and how Technology can empower the business.

As part of giving back, he is passionate about enabling the PM community and has been contributing to PMI SG Chapter as a Mentor and most recently, ExCo of 2023.
