Turning Agile Product Vision into Action, a hands-on virtual workshop

Successful product development commences with the right vision. A key challenge for organisations today is converting this vision into action, that benefits them and creates value for customer.

Product strategies often take a wrong turn and create products that nobody uses. Even worse, it can generate a lack of alignment within the organisation across different departments on the needs and goal of the product.

As a project manager, you play a vital role in guiding your teams to make the right strategic decisions. The team requires your support to remove organisational constraints that block them in creating a winning product strategy and an actionable roadmap.

This is a hands-on virtual workshop is aimed at learning about product management strategies and also at co-creating with participants. We will be working on a specific situation throughout the session with an appropriate mix of learning, experimenting and implementing.

We encourage all of the following to attend this workshop and experience learning by practicing product management strategies:

• Project Managers, Program Managers and Team Members interested in knowing product strategies, but with little hands-on experience;
• Scrum Masters, Product Owners and anyone interested in Agile product management and would like hands-on experience;
• Agile Practitioners who would like to participate in a collaborative workshop and share their knowledge and experience.

Learning outcomes:

• Understand the definition of product;
• Explain the big picture of product;
• Role of project manager and leader in product strategic decisions.

Presentation and Discussion Method:
Hands-on workshop in a collaborative style. We will use Zoom and Google Docs.

• Prerequisite: This session will be held via Zoom breakout rooms, so please ensure to have Zoom installed on your computer and join via the app, not through a web browser. You can download the Zoom Client application here: https://zoom.us/download.
• During the workshop: We will be providing the Google Docs link to collaborate and co-create together.
• Participating from a mobile device is not recommended, because of the small screen and you might need to use the keyboard.
• Make sure to have a stable internet connection.
• We will lock the meeting a few minutes into the call for organisational purposes. Please be on time to be able to participate.

Rammohan is an Agile coach with over 18 years of IT Experience working at various corporations in India, US, UK, Hong Kong and Singapore. Over the last decade, he has focused on Agile transformation projects enabling their clients to improve their end-to-end software development capabilities. It includes teaching, mentoring, coaching IT and Business team members in various Agile frameworks and practices.

As a seasoned Agile practitioner, Rammohan is experienced in running corporate workshops on Scrum, Agile, Kanban, as well as Scaled Agile frameworks. More recently, Rammohan was on a mission with an airline client to enable new ”ways of working” based on Agile values and principles, helping them to be the leading digital airline in the world.
