Welcome to the PMI SG Chapter Student Project Management Competition 2023!
About the Competition:
We are excited to announce the 2nd Annual PMI SG Chapter Student Project Management Competition, set to take place at a prestigious Singapore higher education location in late 2023.
The competition revolves around poster presentations showcasing the practical application of project management in the context of Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Theme: "Transforming Business Efficiency: Harnessing the Power of Generative Artificial Intelligence"
In this year's competition, participants will explore the revolutionary potential of Generative AI in enhancing various aspects of business operations.
Generative AI is a type of artificial intelligence system capable of generating text, images, or other media based on learned patterns from training data, fostering innovation and efficiency across different industries.
Competition Structure:
The competition will again feature two rounds:
- Selection Round 1
- Final Poster Round 2
During the Selection Round 1, all participants will submit a project charter for judging.
The top 8 teams will then proceed to the Final Poster Round 2, where they will develop a project management poster following the given theme.
Selection Round 1: Open until 15th September 2023.
Final Poster Round 2: Event Friday 24th November 2023 from 7pm [TBC]
Scenario for the Competition:
Imagine a scenario where a medium-sized e-commerce company, "PMI SG Outreach Inc.," seeks to enhance customer support and streamline its order processing system using Generative AI. Participants will be tasked with creating a poster showcasing project initiation and planning, highlighting the integration strategy, benefits, and outcomes of leveraging Generative AI in this scenario.
Competition Details:
The competition is open to any student of a Singapore institution.
Students do not need to be a member of the PMI SG Chapter to participate.
Each team will consist of 2 to 4 participants, with all members equally sharing the prize money.
The poster must cover mandatory content, including the title, names of authors, affiliated organizations, and relevant collaborators who contributed to the work.
Posters must be readable from a distance of 1 meter, and all illustrations and text should be clear and legible.

1st Place: $4,000
2nd Place: $2,000
3rd Place: $1,000
4th to 8th Place: $500 each
