The four session dates are 18, 19, 25, 26 March 2020. Participation in all four is 50 SGD for our Chapter Members.

You completed the PMI-PMP® Exam preparation course. Well done! But have you actually started properly preparing for your PMP Exam? Are you ready? Do you want some more support, get some Tips & Tricks for preparing and hopefully passing the exam? Then read on - this program may be for you! PMI Singapore Chapter designed a comprehensive coaching program together with our experienced volunteer coaches. They are dedicated to setting you up for success by helping you structure your study plan and sharing their personal experiences in exam preparation with you. We will do our best to support and guide you in your learning journey.

 

Pre-requisites and Eligibility:

  • Priority and benefits are given to PMI Singapore Chapter members;
  • Non-members can still join PMI Singapore Chapter and subsequently apply for this program;
  • You MUST BE eligible for the PMI-PMP examination as defined by PMI. This also means that you have already met the criteria regarding PM education (i.e. completed the 35-hour PMP Exam Preparation Course or equivalent formal/preparatory education as defined by PMI). Please refer to the PMI website for prevailing information;
  • You are preparing to sit the current PMI-PMP® Certification Exam curriculum (available till 30 June 2020);
  • Be available for all four sessions (18, 19, 25, 26 March 2020) - go ahead and take the prep course so you can join this extracurricular learning.

Key take-away aspirations:
On completion of this certification coaching sessions, we want the participants to have

  • Completed a personal PMP EXAM study plan;
  • Better understanding of PMBOK 6th Edition;
  • Comprehension and appreciation of the PMI methodology;
  • Comfort with the examination format and typical question styles.

Meet your Coaches:

Anand Vijayakumar (LinkedIn)

Anand is the head of the Regional Project Management Office at MUFG Bank in Singapore. Anand began his career in India as a software engineer in 2004 with Infosys Ltd, and relocated to Singapore in 2010 after spending time in India & USA managing project delivery for clients. In Singapore, he has worked for major organisations like Moody’s Analytics and OCBC bank as Program Manager prior to joining MUFG Bank.

Anand holds multiple professional credentials of which 4 are from PMI (PMP, PMI RMP, PMI ACP, and PgMP) and a few others like PSM 1, MSP Practitioner, PMO CP, etc. As part of his career, he has coached & mentored multiple PM’s in his team and immediate friends/professional circle to achieve professional credentials in Project Management including the PMP.

Herman Limas (LinkedIn)

Herman is an IT Professional with Multiple Roles Capability and Skillset Varieties. He earned his MBA degree with University of Liverpool in 2005, holding multiple certification such as TOGAF, PMP, Coaching Skill, Lean Kanban and Design Thinking. His career started as a System Analyst for a wood working manufacturing company in 1992 in Jakarta, Indonesia, moved on to become self-employed in 1994 developing various application systems for a niche customer group. Herman moved to Singapore in 1998, ever since he has been working for Kuok Singapore Limited (KSL) servicing conglomerate business environment. Herman is now an IT manager spearheading application system development and looking after Kuok Group's multiple line of business in maritime/offshore, shipyard, ocean transportation/logistics, trading, agriculture and real estate/properties.

He is a forefront Enterprise Architecture (EA) practitioner, a major contributor to Kuok Group IT transformation roadmap and formalising Kuok Group IT blueprint. Herman has accomplished numerous IT projects ranging from infrastructure WAN/LAN, server virtualization, migration to cloud, bespoke application system development, integration ESB, and COTS system implementation.

Padmaja (LinkedIn)

Currently working in IT industry. Padmaja obtained her Project Management Professional (PMP®) credential in 2008. She has been working in IT industry for about 9 years. Completed Scrum Master certification in March 2019. She started her career in Masters in Geology, with Gold medal both in graduation and Post-Grad, worked with start-ups and multinationals, as well as government agencies. 

Her experiences span from IT start ups and education, both local and international projects.

Her years of experience in projects of differing geographical regions, experienced with multi regions culture makes her a proven leader and well respected in the industry.

The Su Mon (LinkedIn)

IT Project Manager (PMP Certified), Public Speaker

The Su Mon was born in a small beautiful town in Myanmar called Yenangyaung, which is famous for the production of petroleum oil. After high school, she continued her tertiary education in Temasek Polytechnic Singapore from 2003. She was graduated from SIM University, Singapore with Degree of Information and Communication Technology. She is currently working as IT Project Manager in Surbana Jurong Singapore. She has more than 14 years of experience and worked as a Project Lead for more than 8 years. She has focused much of her career on developing and delivering IT projects, analysing business requirements and consultation on technology needs for clients. She is a certified PMI Project Management Professional (PMP®). She is also well known for her leadership skills, led and delivered multiple projects successfully. She was also a speaker on TEDx Yangon in 2017. She is passionate about coaching and motivating others. She is looking forward to sharing her knowledge and experience to help others.

Balaji Mayilvahanan (LinkedIn)

Balaji Mayilvahanan is a Senior Manager in HCL, with 17 years of IT experience. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science Engineering from the Madurai Kamaraj University, India. He obtained his Project Management Professional (PMP®) credential in 2019. 

He started his career as Desktop Engineer and has traversed various organisations having worked from start-ups to large multinationals as well as  government agencies. His experiences span System Integration, Software, Education, IT/data centres, Banking and commercial fit-out sectors. He has also helmed various roles and projects at country and regional levels with international firms. 

His years of experience in projects of differing scale and difficulty puts him in a unique position to deliver complex projects using sound principles with the right mix of practicality.

SIM Xinming (LinkedIn)

Xinming is a Project Manager at AI Singapore, a national AI programme launched by the National Research Foundation (NRF) to anchor deep national capabilities in Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Singapore. 

He graduated from NTU with a degree in Aerospace Engineering and began his career at DSO National Laboratories where he worked extensively on defence R&D projects with multi-national stakeholders to deliver systems and solutions for Singapore. Thereafter, he went to EDB to work on policies enhancing Singapore’s research, innovation and enterprise portfolio. During his career, he built up his expertise in Project Management, before obtaining his Project Management Professional (PMP®) credential in 2019.
